THE COMMISSION
- i am legacy-
The Commission is a movement that aims to shine
a positive light into the darkest corners of our generation. We actively pursue
a relationship with the one true and living God who came in the form of a man -
Jesus. We also choose to live a life that
serves His purpose and not our own. We are
strategic and militant minded in our approach, functioning as a unit of
soldiers. This is more than ministry - It's unity. United we stand.
The Commission is active within the community, sharing in schools, youth centres, churches, youth groups, prisons - wherever an opportunity exists. Our main method of attack is our Hit 'N' Runs. We choose an area or community, and with council permission, hold street outreaches, hitting the community with the gospel through the medium of hip hop.
We seek to be a part of change within local communities and welcome any opportunity to serve through our ministry.
A WORD FROM GENESIZ -
In 2007 my life changed. God began to give me a vision. The vision He gave me was birthed out of death.
In October 2007, a good friend of mine passed away. At 20 years of age, he inspired me that we must live every day like it's our last. If we can grasp that, we would witness the gospel to the lost with so much boldness, nothing would stop us.
In November that same year, another close friend committed suicide. The day after he died, another one of my close friends had his throat slashed and was stabbed three times on his way home from work...for no reason.
Life is so fragile. When my time comes, I want to have used my life to create a legacy. I want people to say he loved Christ and he lived Christ like. I want to know that I have left a legacy of disciples of Christ. Because there is only one thing that I can take with me into eternity - others.
The Commission is birthed out of that vision of creating a lasting legacy with our lives. For this reason, we do not put a price tag on a soul. The currency of heaven is souls and there is no monetary or earthly value that can replace the value of an individual to God.
We exist to build the Kingdom of God and we are not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
For us, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
We are MORE than conquerors.
We are The Commission.
