EXL (Jim Tsangaris) grew up in the gang life of Athens, Greece. With a Father who worked away and a dysfunctional family, role models were non - existent in his life.
Falling into the drug scene at the young age of 13, this was the only escape of the harsh reality he faced. A progression from marijuana to heroin, EXL began using daily. Parties, women and drugs were a part of his normal day to day life. This eventually led him to prison.
Being pushed into isolation due to the consequences of his actions, he found himself on his knees in prayer. God had bigger plans for his life and in his darkest season, he found the love and underserving grace of Jesus. In that moment chains were broken.
Now, over 16 years later, EXL continues to live in the redemption of Christ. God removed him from the temptations of old and he started a new life in Australia. EXL has dedicated himself to sharing the truth about God's love and has found his ministry in music.
EXL continues to share his story of redemption in schools, prisons and churches, helping people from all walks to break the walls of religion and understand that God wants a personal and intimate relationship with everyone of us.
